亲爱的匹兹堡中文学校的会员、朋友和关心中文学校发展的有识之士：
在平安夜和新年即将来临之际，中文学校祝大家节日快乐，幸福安康，万事如意！
尽管2021年我们仍然受到COVID-19的疫情影响，但为了使华人社区孩子们安全持续地接受高质量的中文和中华文化教育，中文学校继续开展了丰富的ZOOM网络课堂。50多名教师、助教和校务人员已经完全适应了网课的教学方式，200多名学生在教师们的谆谆教诲下，学有所乐，学有所长。为了让孩子们上好每一节课，教师们从不言苦，及时和家长沟通，保证每一名学生在网课期间仍然可以取得尽可能大的进步。
为了感谢教师们的辛勤付出，奖励学生们持之以恒的学习，以及支持中文学校的持续发展，欢迎您踊跃参加中文学校的捐款活动，伸出捐助之手，奉献一片爱心。您也可以指定自己的捐款用途。和其他学校财务一样，此次捐款明细将由中文学校董事会的13名董事实时监督，并将及时向社会公布捐款情况。捐款总额和捐款人的名字（事先得到捐款人同意的情况下）也将在中文学校的网站上公布。中文学校在2020-2021年度因为疫情遭受了2000多美元的亏损，不得不动用了往年积攒下来的储备资金。但是中文学校依然竭尽所能地奖励学生和教师们，支持教师培训等。您的捐助将帮助缓解中文学校目前的财务紧张状况。
如果您需要，捐款人也可以得到一张中文学校会员卡，用此卡在匹兹堡中国杂货店和餐馆可以享受折扣优惠。所以，您捐款时请署名并留下联系方式。谢谢您的慷慨捐助！

Dear PCS members, friends, and sponsors,
The holidays are around the corner, on behalf of Pittsburgh Chinese School (PCS), we wish you and your family happy holidays!
Although we still suffer from the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, we continue to offer a variety of virtual classes this year to ensure students can continue high-quality learning of Chinese language and culture while keeping everyone safe and healthy. Over 50 teachers, assistant teachers, and management personnel have adapted very well to online classes. More than 200 students have enjoyed the online classes and made excellent progress. To provide the best experience to every student, our teachers keep in close communication with parents.
To thank our dedicated teachers, encourage our bright students, and continue growing our school, we gratefully ask for your kind support. Your donation will be used for rewards to our teachers and students, and for supporting sustainable development of PCS. You are also welcome to specify the use for your donation. The donation details, like other financial details of the PCS, will be monitored by PCS’s 13 Board of Directors. The amount of donations and names of the donors, upon the donors’ permission, will be shared and posted on the PCS website. PCS has suffered a net loss of over $2000 in the academic year 2020-2021 due to pandemic and had to use the reserve fund accumulated in the past years. However, PCS continue to do the best we can to reward students and teachers and support teachers’ trainings. Your donation will definitely help ease the current financial strain of PCS.
Each donor (if interested) will receive a PCS membership card, which allows you to be eligible for discounts when shopping in the local Chinese stores or dinning in local Chinese restaurants. Therefore, when you make your donation, please provide your name and contact information. Thanks for your kindness and generosity!
